It's Sunday, I don't have to work, and it's SNOWING. What to do???

A 3 hour tour

It took me a total of 3 hours to get home tonight. Driving from Surrey to Mission. Surrey drivers don't understand the 4 way stop procedure and it's more like a free for all. So in total my hours today look like this: 8 1/2 hours of work 10 minute lunch and 4 1/2 hour total driving time. I need a job closer to home.

Measure twice order once

My words of wisdom for the day are measure twice order once. I'm at the point of installing my top cabinets and have discovered that I didn't measure them correctly in relation to the 5 1/2 inch lip of the basement. So I now have cabinets that don't line up. Hmm what to do?

So I'm painting my bedroom..... that is all, just want to say.

Off to Merritt

I havn't posted in a long time and havn't done a lot of things I should have but it will have to wait for another week. I am off to Merritt for the week to work. I'll post pictures when I return.

Grass (the kind you cut)

I finally got my grass planted well the seeds are spread so now I wait. This is my first attempt at grass so I really hope i did everything correctly. I know everyone says grass is easy but I want a really nice yard. Something that people can come over and enjoy.

Happiness

I fixed a friends computer yesterday and as I sat we ended up on the topic of happiness. Some people find happiness in belongings and others in money. There are a few things that make me happy all of wish I pretty much have control over but the one thing, truly the one thing that makes me happy I have absolutely no control over.

Different of opinions

I've decided I want to move into my basement. I don't have to check with my brother on decisions, what I want to do with the space would be up to me. But he doesn't want that. So what to do? Do it anyway or live upstairs with him?

Landscaping

I spent the day landscaping and it wasn't for me. Now I have a new house that needs a lawn, among a lot of other thing that need doing but I'm much happier help other people do theirs. My legs are acking, my hands are raw, i'm covered in dirt and I'm loving every minute of it. OK time to fill in the blanks, I spent the day helping a friend with her yard, moving rocks, dirt, bricks, wood, planting a tree and a few shrubs. When I say planting I mean pick axing, and shoveling through about 1 1/2 feet of rocks, and clay but it's look really good and she really likes it. And in the end if it makes her happy, that's all the matters.

I'm home (if you call it that)

I've finally finished moving and now I'm back online. I will leave a more detailed moving experience when I have more time.

Well this is it.

Today is moving day. 1 week late, but it's here. I'm just leaving to go pickup my chairs and table. This is going to be the never ending battle, it's me againist a houseful of furniture. AHHHHHHH

No moving day

Since there was a little oversite on my brothers part my long weekend of moving did not happen. So I am now forced to move during the upcoming week and probably next weekend. As most of my friends said you can't change it so just go with it.

It's all mine, well ours

As of about 8:30PM March 31, 2006 7830 Sandpiper St belongs to me and my bro. After about 3 months of shopping, countless houses i've looked at, 2 lost houses, we finally got one. Possession date will be April 15. I thought I would be more excited about buying my first house but I'm really not. I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I feel like I'm buying something from a store. Shouldn't I be more excited?

House Inspection

I found another house in Mission so this wednesday I have a house inspection. I really hope this goes well. I've been shopping now for almost 3 months strait. Wish me luck.

More houses

Just got back from looking at 3 more houses. So hard to decide what is the best thing to go with and trying to buy something that both me and my brother can handle is turning out to be a bigger problem than I wanted.

400,000 and going

Well my little car has finally hit 400,000. My dad gave me this car when I was around 16 and had to do a lot of work to it. I'm now 25 (man I sure don't have a lot to show for 25, but thats another blog) so I've had this car for almost 9 years and it still keeps going. Thanks Dad. 

What to say.

So I was at a friends house last night sitting on the couch and her little boy ask me when will you be part of the family. hmmm...... How do you answer a question like that? Seriously I'm asking, what should you say?

Dinner

I know I'm going to get in trouble for this but for tonights dinner it was mini eggs and coke.

Another House

We put an offer on another house but lost it. Out bid. Man house shopping is time consuming.

House inspection time

This morning is my house inspection. I have my boss/friend Chris to do electrical, Bob to do the housing part, and my dad well he build our house so he has a little idea of what to do. I hope this goes well.

Still here

So I've been at Van-Kam Freightways for 3 weeks now. My boss works from his home in pentiction, the programmer they hired at the same time as me quit, and the contracter they have is here about 2 - 3 times a week, so most of the time I'm here by myself holding down the fort. I think I'm doing pretty good for being here 3 weeks.
